The Toscana Saporita Cooking School offers one of the most outstanding cooking instruction/vacation opportunities in all of Italy.  Toscana Saporita is based in a majestic 15th century villa in the Lucca region of Tuscany.  The villa features excellent accommodations along with outstanding cooking facilities.  Lessons, averaging 3 hours per day, are taught by Anne Bianchi and Sandra Lotti, who are acclaimed for their numerous Italian cookbooks and their mastery of all types of Tuscan cuisine.

This villa is located near Lucca on a 70 acre hilltop estate.  The classes take place in the professional kitchen on the ground floor of the 15th century villa.

  • Spring  Summer and Fall:  $2550.00 per person.  (The fee for a non-cooking guest is $2050.00.)
  • Prices are based on double occupancy.
    Single occupancy is $400.00 extra.
  • Deposit: A $500.00 non-refundable deposit will hold your reservation. Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure.

Itinerary

Day 1 : (Sunday) Arrival at the villa. You are welcomed with lunch and the remainder of the day is yours.  A four course dinner will be prepared for you.

Day 2-6:    Each morning cooking lessons are held in the villa kitchen followed by an extended lunch featuring the foods prepared that morning.  Lunch consists of 3 courses with delicious local wines. Guests will learn to prepare:

  • fresh pasta
  • soups
  • fish and meat dishes
  • risotto
  • ravioli
  • desserts
Afternoon tours are accompanied by a professional guide who will take you throughout the region including wineries for tastings.  Upon your return to the villa you will experience a fantastic formal dinner prepared by your instructors featuring outstanding local wines.
