Venice - Venetian Riviera - Milan

We will depart Newark and fly directly to Venice. Upon our arrival we will be privately transferred to our hotel which is centrally located in Venice. We will spend two nights in Venice. While here we will:
Walking tour of Venice to include the Doge's Palace
Excursion to Murano and Burano islands including a visit to Studio Tagliapietro. Lino does exceptional murano glass creations. You may want to google: Lino Tagliapietro. Then move on to Burano which is famous for it's laces and colorful painted fishermen's houses.
Dinner and exclusive visit with a Countessa in her historic palazzo.

Our hotel for the next two nights will be: Hotel L’Orologia in Venice
After two nights in Venice we will move to the countryside and stay in a lovely hotel situated on the Brenta River. The day we transfer we will have time to relax and enjoy our surrounding. We will have a cooking class later in the afternoon followed by our special dinner.
While in this beautiful area of Italy we will enjoy:
Our private driver will take us to Padova and we will meet our guide for a special tour of this beautiful city.
We will cruise along the river and enjoy the beautiful villas and stop at one of the most famous villas for a tour.
The next day we will have a tour of small town Treviso known for Prosecco. Of course we will enjoy a tasting while in this town!
Our hotel for the next three nights will be: Villa Franceschi
After three nights at this lovely hotel we will depart and make out way to Milan. We will make a stop to discover some of Italy's best cuisine: Mortadella, Prosciutto, and regional wine. We will have a tasting and then have a wonderful lunch at a local farmhouse. We will be arriving late in the afternoon in Milan.
We will be arriving about 5pm so after check in you have the evening to yourself. not sure how hungry you will be but we can decide then.
So here is what is in store for us while in Milan:
We will have a private guide to take us on a tour of Milan to include the Last Supper, the Casetllo Sforzesco,The Duomo and take in the sights of Milan from the top, Tour the La Scala Museum followed by a visit to the Ansaldo workshop.
Late in the afternoon on the next say we will have a sunset cruise on the Navigli Canals of Milan. Yes, Milan does have canals. With a glass of prosecco in hand we will saok don the Vagiglio Grand which is lined with bars, cafes, and restaurants. We will hop off with our guide and she will take us for a walk along the canal to see where fishermen and washerwomen used to live.
Later we will have a Farewell Dinner at the hotel.

Early morning departure for the airport
