Itinerary
Day 1:(Thursday)  Arrival at Bologna airport.  Welcome by English-speaking guide and transfer by private bus to Frassinoro, to check into Al Ciocco, a charming villa and cooking school. Afternoon is free to rest and relax.  Gourmet dinner with a tasting menu, including wine. 

  Day 2: (Friday)  After breakfast you will begin your first cooking lesson followed by lunch.  In the afternoon you will visit the charming castles of Rocca Montefiorino and Frassinoro, Matilde's Abbey and the Church of S. Mary and S. Claudio.  Return to the villa for dinner.

Day 3: (Saturday)  After breakfast you rill be transferred to Bologna to visit this beautiful city and its outdoor market for gourmet shopping..  Return to the villa for a delicious gourmet dinner which will include wines. 

Day 4: (Sunday)  In the morning you will have a visit to a local Parmigiano Reggiano producer to a tasting.  You will learn how it is produced and aged.  Return to the villa for lunch.  In the afternoon you will visit a local producer of honey. and tour the facilities.  Return to the villa for a gourmet dinner. Day 5:(Monday)  After breakfast you will visit a producer of Lambrusco and learn how the wine is made and aged.  A tasting will be included. Then you will be transferred to an acetaia and have a guided tour and lecture on how the balsamic vinegar is produced and aged in the cellars.  Lunch will be at a local trattoria,  In the afternoon you will visit a local producer of Lambrusco wine, where you will have a tour of the wine cellar and a tasting.  You will then be transferred to the city of Modena and have free time to visit the small historical city.  Dinner in a local trattoria (not included) and then return to the villa.

Day 6: (Tuesday)  A three hour cooking lesson will be followed by lunch at the villa.  Afternoon will be spent visiting the museum and church of San Pellegrino.  Dinner will be at the villa.

Day 7: (Wednesday)  After breakfast you will begin another cooking lesson followed by lunch.  In the afternoon you will have time to relax at the villa.  Dinner and a goodbye dinner is planned for the evening. Day 8: (Thursday)  After breakfast you will be transferred by bus to the Bologna airport for your departure to the USA.
