One day trips for the spring 2006 have already been organized.

There will be four this year and all of them will be advertised with the Adult School of the Chathams, Madison and Florham Park. Two are being shared with the Morris School district and the other two are being shared with County College of Morris.

Here is the list:

• Italian Culinary Institute for a cooking demonstration and lunch followed by time to shop at the Chelsea Market and Union Square Market

• High Tea in Manhattan with a tour of CNN at the Time Warner Building. After we will all go to the exclusive Mark Hotel for high tea and there will be time to shop in the elegant McKenzie-Childs store in NYC.

  Date: April 19 (also offered at Morris school district at 973. 292 .2063)

• Brooklyn Heights and Carroll Gardens will be a new offering this Spring where we will explore interesting areas of Brooklyn. Lunch will be at a great Italian restaurant called Frankie's 457.

  Date; May 17 (also offered at County College of Morris at 973.328.5180)

• Chinatown in Manhattan will be another new trip for Gourmet Getaways. We will have a cultural and historic tour before our 8 course Chinese lunch. Time to shop afterwards.

Now for something different! Spring to the Spa at Lake Mohonk Resort! We will leave Chatham Middle School on April 5 and return on April 6.

The overnight will include: breakfast, lunch dinner, high tea, a 50 minute massage, kitchen tour and dessert demo. Please call for pricing or watch for the brochure. This is being offered through the Adult School and County College of Morris.
