Day 1
Transfer
from Bari or Brindisi
airport to Masseria
Torre Coccaro resort. Dinner
at the hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast you
will visit a local
fish and vegetable
market in the historic
center of Monopoli. Don’t
leave this wonderful
area without a taste
of the delicious ice
cream. During
your first lesson you
will learn to make
homemade pasta ‘orecchiette’ and
fried calzoni, which
is an apulian specialty
filled with mozzarella,
tomato, or meat and
vegetables. Dinner
at the hotel.
Day 3
This morning you will
visit typical villages
in the area. You will
also visit Martina
Franca, a small village,
which is famous for
the “baroque” style
palaces. During
your tour you will
visit a place where
they make mozzarella
cheese and have a tasting.
As you tour the area
you will notice the
typical conic shaped
TRULLI houses, which
this area of Italy
is known for. Dinner
on your own.
Day 4
Your morning lesson
will begin when you
select your fresh vegetables
that you will pick
from the garden. This
lesson is dedicated
to typical apulian
dishes such as ‘ingrapita” beans,
chicories, rice, mussels,
potatoes and typical
pastries. At the end
of the lesson you will
be able to taste all
that you have cooked
together. In
the afternoon you will
visit an olive oil
museum. Dinner
at the hotel
Day 5
Transfer
back to Bari or Brindisi
airport.
